Portrait sessions in a park in London

I was commission to photograph the lovely Aluka Osakwe in London who was featuring in GEO magazine, We decided to do the portraits in the lovely park in St James in London.

Having shot a private portrait session in St James’s park a few years ago, I knew there was a lovely area with a bush with rust red leaves which I wanted to use, as it was a similiar time of year. Typically, the leaves were lush green!

Aluka was a fantastic willing and happy model, she arrived wearing a stunning red dress which worked well colourwize but in reverse of what I had hoped.

London is great place to do portraits and headshots in, there is such a scope of what you can do; business portraits that feature the city you’ve got the bank and the city, here’s a portraits session I did of for another magazine around Liverpool St in London showing the city skyline, or you’ve also got the urban feel on the sreets which can work really well too, heres a headshot session i did for Mckinsey a few years ago now.
