Portraits sessions for Sydney magazine

Portrait photography commission in London.

I am pretty lucky. I get to shoot portrait photography for diverse and interesting clients from all over the world. Here I shot for a university magazine who were featuring two of their award winning Alumini in their choosen fields. I mean I get to hang out with these folks for a little while, preety good eh!

We had arrange to do the shots in a hard black and white style, a style I really like; Its impactful and bold. Think David Bailey in the 60’s.

For the Portrait photography I used a beauty dish that I shot directly and slightly to the side at the subject and I used a black cloth to increase the density of the shadows on the opposite sides. I moved the lights around as I chatted to the people finding the right balance that worked for me..

In the selection below I decide to show them here not converted to black and white (except for the ones at the end) ; I just prefered the colour versions here…
