Taking good headshots in London

Look around the office and search out the natural light. Window light is the simpliest way of creating a more natural softer portrait or headshot. Here’s an example I shot as an alternative for Ikano recently. I can also be nice when a subject faces the window, if the sun isn’t shinning directly into their face and is behind the photographer.

The windows can create lovely catch lights in the eyes not to mention beautiful soft light to light the subject.

Jane bown the esteemed Guardian photographer would often shoot using window lights and (as was her style) shoot from above her subject looking down, which can flattering….
