What does GDPR mean for photographers?

It would be nice to dig our heads in the sand and proclaim i didn't know! My god I have tried this since hearing about GDPR. I have collated emails over the years and felt rather proud of my marketing diligence. (Collecting over 500 contacts)


If you have clients data, (Names, addresses and emails) obtained through an email exchange, a job inquiry or you may have worked with that person. That's fine, but it doesn't give you permission to market to them!

What has changed with the new GDPR privacy law is that people have privacy by default; they have to 'opt-in' to receive your marketing campaigns!
