The election trail in Thurrock

I did a job for L'Express magazine in France to cover the election campaigning in Thurrock, which would feature as a microcosm of the UK.

Not my typical portrait job! Jean-Michel, the writer and I spend most of the time sitting in the car waiting for people to return our calls. The conservative candidate and current MP Jackie-Doyle Price and Labour candidate Polly Billington where pretty obliging in the end. I got to hang out with the Tories on their bus (joy) and follow the amiable Polly canvasing from door to door. The UKIP candidate Tim Aker was  Illusive to say the least and did what he could to avoid any contact with us. I managed to bag the slippery guy just before a husting at the local parish church.
