I was recently commissioned by a French magazine to cover a piece on a 15-year old boy from France called Guillaume who attends The Buckswood School in Hasting. Buckswood is an independent school with students from 49 different nations. Classes are small and there is a strong emphasis on manners and upholding tradition. The children we met called me sir (which I quite liked!) and when they come into the dining hall for meals, each student will shake the headmaster's hand, look him in the eye and wish him a good day. On this particular Friday I attended the end of week assembly in the stunning local Gothic church. It's traditional and full of gowns wafting, bagpipes playing and head boys holding staffs ... all very Hogwarts.
